If I die, for the record, I want this song played at my funeral:
I'll Fly Away Lyrics
Some bright morning, when this life is over
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly awayI'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, hallelujah by and by
I'll fly awayWhen The shadows of this life have gone
I'll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls I'll fly
I'll fly awayI'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die hallelujah by and by
I'll fly awayOh how glad and happy when we meet
I'll fly away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet
I'll fly awayI'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, hallelujah by and by
I'll fly awayI'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, hallelujah by and by
I'll fly awayJust a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To a land where joys will never end
I'll fly awayI'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
I'll fly away

are you a fan of Third Day's remake of this hymn? I love the song and the remake, although I must say, not being married yet means that I primarily listen to songs for their possibility to be played at my wedding, and not for the funeral procession. But maybe I'll keep that in mind as well.
This is my favorite song of all time!! It will be played at my funeral as well.
What fun! I first heard this song when we lived in Atlanta. Reading the lyrics I could hear and see again the congregation singing with big smiles and even bigger voices! Thanks for the reminder.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Just a great song!
